Studio visit with Sam Binstead

Studio visit with Sam Binstead

We invited slow fashion advocate Sam Binstead to our studio to take some shots of our new creative space. Sam documented the process of his blanket jacket

from start to finish ~ an old picnic blanket into a cosy jacket fit for a cozy winter.

We drop a limited number of blanket jackets at the end of every month in a range of sizes, made from old blankets, rugs, scarves and remnant wools. You can also use the send-in-service, a complete custom jacket made from your own blanket or quilt.

Our fabric is sourced from mills locally in the U.K. Then cut, overlocked and sewn all by hand in our studio in Manchester. We only use natural fibres, biodegradable fabrics and remnant fabrics, doing our bit for the planet.

Synthetic fibres used in 72% clothing items, can sit in landfill for up to 200 years.

Our fabric waste left behind from offcuts, gets recycled, meaning we are a no waste business. And that's why our clothing is made to order.
